Landmark Wildlife Services has been honoured with the prestigious Sustainability Initiative of the Year award at the National Pest Awards 2023. This recognition marks a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to eco-friendly and responsible pest and wildlife management practices.
At Landmark Wildlife Services, we take pride in our innovative and sustainable approach to pest control. We have developed a non-toxic pest control method that delivers a large instant reduction in rodents. This service uses specially adapted smokers combined with highly trained terriers to flush out and dispatch rats. In contrast, standard methods involve using toxic rodenticides and/or non-recyclable glue boards. Furthermore, multiple visits (often 2-3) must be undertaken by technicians to a client’s premises to control the infestation. Our methods effectively manage pest infestations and address critical environmental concerns.
Our approach is making a difference due to us reducing toxins in the environment and mitigating the risk of secondary poisoning to non-target species, such as owls, that might consume poisoned rodents. We are reducing non-biodegradable/recyclable products such as glue boards; this approach aligns with Scotland and Wales’s impending glue board ban, allowing our clients to stay ahead of the curve. We are decreasing vehicle mileage and CO2 emissions as our methods are designed to deliver effective pest control within a single visit. This means fewer repeat visits, reduced vehicle mileage, and lower associated CO2 emissions.
Landmark Wildlife Services is committed to redefining pest control and wildlife control by making it more sustainable, eco-friendly, and environmentally responsible. We are honoured to receive the Sustainability Initiative of the Year award at the National Pest Awards 2023, and we remain dedicated to advancing our sustainable practices for the benefit of our clients and the planet.
